Welcome back friends. It has been a while since I have had the time to really sit down and write. My days are consumed with living and work. Julie and I are doing well but as always, we have been running 100 mph. We took yesterday and did nothing and it was wonderful. Sometimes we forget how important doing nothing can be. We spent the day lazing around the house and doing some small errands. However, we did go to the house in South Knoxville and move a refridgerator. That sounds like alot of work but it really was easy. I cleaned it up today and placed it in our garage. It is ready for drinks, fruit and whatever extra things I am instructed to place there. The picture on the blog is of Julie tending to a bird that our cat, Maisey, tried to have for dinner a days ago. Those of you that know Julie know that she is the biggest advocate for animals in the world. When Julie and I first started to date, we were driving down the road and I ran over a huge serpent that was crossing the road. I think that is the first time I got the ‘eyebrow’ and a few words of instruction. Anyway, Maisey brought the bird into the house and Julie rescued it immediately. She took the bird outside and we immediatley saw it was hurt. It seemed to have a broken wing. She let the bird go on the ground and it could not fly. We were able to catch the bird after a few attempts and was going to try to nurse it back to health. However, regardless of the effort, the little fellow went into the light while Julie was holding it. I guess God needed another bird to sing His praises in Heaven. Julie has, without a doubt, the biggest, softest heart I have ever encountered. She is always looking for the next person or animal to help. She has rescued alot of animals and people from many different circumstances. I should know because she rescued me from a miserable life. With her love, she has shown me how to love, live and be happy. She has always said,”I just want to be happy and have fun.” It has taken me a while to understand and adapt to this but now I embrace it. She has helped me redefine my life and she has been VERY patient through the process. I have no doubt if Julie had not come into my life, my days would have been numbered but now I look forward to coming home each night. You would have to live inside my heart to fully understand. I believe all people are special but sometimes God makes a person that is above and beyond. Julie fits that as God has placed in her a unique heart of love and I am truly blessed to be her husband.
Have a great day! Tony
